CMBTC’s Pilot Brewery offers technical support for domestic and international customers of Canadian malting barley. The 250L state-of-the-art facility is able to duplicate commercial brewing operations around the world. The brewery is semi-automated and possesses in-line sensors.

- Test, evaluate and optimize the performance of Canadian malt in the brewing process
- Evaluate the performance and commercial viability of new Canadian barley varieties for the brewing industry
- Provide technical support, information and assistance to customers
- Assess the suitability of Canadian malting barley varieties by brewing beers of various styles and brewing processes
- Evaluate alternative brewing processes that may enhance customer utilization of the quality potential of Canadian malting barley
- Develop and deliver customer evaluation programs for domestic and international customers of Canadian malting barley
